Коротка характеристика В групі 16 учнів. Діти навчаються на різному
класу рівні. Не всі учні готуються до уроків належним
чином та не всі активні, але проявляють
зацікавленість до інформації, яка є актуальною
для них. Учням подобаються уроки із
застосуванням інформаційних, інтерактивних,
ігрових та арт-технологій.

Цілі уроку Навчальна: вдосконалювати лексичні та
граматичні навички говоріння, аудіювання,
читання, стимулювати інтелектуальний розвиток
і активізацію пізнавальної діяльності, формувати
навички узагальнення інформації;

усвідомлення функцій іноземної мови у
навчальному процесі і суспільстві, значень
мовних явищ, іншої системи понять, за

Завдання уроку Знаннєва складова:
навчати учнів розуміти та вживати лексику, що
стосується теми «Спорт»; збільшити обсяг знань
про соціокультурну специфіку мови, яку
вивчають;
Діяльнісна складова:
мотивувати учнів знаходити мовні рішення:
лексику, структури, які необхідні в даний момент
для вирішення практичних завдань; розвивати
навички соціальної взаємодії;
 Ціннісна складова: формувати ціннісне
ставлення до власного фізичного розвитку;
позитивне оцінювання цінностей спорту, які
сприяють формуванню самосвідомості і мають
позитивне значення для життєздатності
особистості;
Наскрізна змістова лінія: виховувати в учнях
емоційно стійкого члена суспільства, здатного
вести здоровий спосіб життя, любити спорт і
формувати навколо себе безпечне життєве
середовище.

парах.

 Theme: Sport in our life
Objectives:
 to revise and improve the vocabulary on the topic “Sport in our life”;
 to develop pupils’ listening, reading, writing and speaking skills;
 to teach pupils to work in groups;
 to motivate them in expressing their own opinions on the topic;
 to bring up positive attitude to sport.

Procedure
I. Introduction.
1. Greetings
T.: Good morning, boys and girls!
How are you getting on? I’m sure you do sports, you’re in a good mood and eager
to work upon the topic “Sport in our life”.
2. Theme, aims
T.: Sport definitely plays a very important role in our life. Today we’ll read,
speak and discuss the importance of sport. Let’s take a motto of our lesson “Life is
nothing without sport”
3. Warming-up
T.: Sport is a competition. That’s why I’d like to unite you into teams. You
should give the names to your teams, do wishes to your opponents and take the rules of
our game. Ex.: Team1: The name of our team is “Brave hearts”. We wish you every
success. Team2: We are “Sports Stars”. We wish you the best of luck!
(The rules of the game: see addition 1).
T.: Are you ready to compete? We have a task to paint the wall of our gym. You
should write your answers to the question “Why do people do sports?” on the wall of
your gym-hall.
(There are two posters “The wall of the gym” on the blackboard, each team
sticks the sheets with their answers on them)

 II. Main part
1. Training the topical vocabulary
1) Task1.
T.: Team 1! Look at the screen and give the names to the kinds of sports.
(The teams are watching the presentation and guess the kinds of sports. See addition 3)
T.: Team 2! Do the same task.
2) Task 2.
T.: You’ve guessed the kinds of sports and now you should use the verbs:
play, do or go with these kinds of sports.
T.: Let’s revise
Play is used with ball sports or competitive games where we play against
another person.
Do is used for recreational activity or non-team sport that does not use a ball.
Go is used with activities that end – ing (but not: boxing, fencing, weight
lifting, body-building.
Example: Play →tennis, poker, volleyball…
Do→ karate, gymnastics…
Go →jogging, swimming…

2. Project work. Speaking skills
T.: Your school has got a great opportunity to get sports equipment and sports
uniform.
 Tasks for teams:
Choose the kind of sports and order sports uniform and sports equipment.
Explain why you’ve chosen such kind of sport and present your project.
Remember! The amount of money is limited.
3. Reading skills
I know the pupils of our school like playing football very much. Let’s learn
real English.
T.: Let’s play the game “The board of right answers”. (Each team gets
a sheet with five expressions and their translation.)
Task 1: Match the expression with their translation. Check with the board of
right answers.
Team 1:

Task: Take an interview at your opponents about last football match at your
school. Use real English.
Example:

Team 2: Yes, he did.
Team 2: Did our team take a hammering?
Team 1: No, it didn’t. We won the match on Friday.
III. Summing-up
T.: Nice work. You are making progress. It’s almost time to stop. Thank you

Write a letter to your English-speaking pen friend about the last football match
in your school. Use real English.
T.: Dear teams, do the compliments to each other.

T.: Dear girls, you are so young and beautiful and the boys are so handsome. I
wish you do sports and be healthy.
