Task 6. Acronyms commonly used in Business Communication are intended to make business
writing easier. They make an abbreviated word formed by the initial letters of other words or a
compound noun. The idea is to make the subject easier to refer to and easier to remember. But
overuse of acronyms can create rather than solve a problem. Even if you explain an acronym at the
outset of a document, it can help your reader if you repeat the words in full from time to time.
A/ Taking into account the abovementioned remarks provide the translation of the following
excerpts.
1. The CEO has tasked the PMO with implementing a new PMIS to better manage project
resources and increase project success rates. The PMIS will integrate with our existing ERP
system and will include features such as resource allocation, project tracking, and risk
management. We are currently in the process of evaluating vendors and will need to allocate
resources for training and implementation.
2. The CFO has identified some areas where we can reduce costs, such as implementing a TQM
system and using AI-based forecasting tools. We will also need to review our OPEX and
CAPEX budgets to identify areas where we can reduce spending. We anticipate that these
measures will result in significant cost savings and improved profitability.
3. The CMO has proposed a new ABM strategy that will allow us to better target key accounts
and increase conversion rates. The ABM strategy will leverage technologies such as AI,
predictive analytics, and marketing automation. We will also need to develop a lead scoring
model to ensure that we are targeting the most promising accounts.
4. The HR department is currently implementing a new ATS to streamline our recruitment
process and improve candidate experience. The ATS will integrate with our existing HRIS and
will include features such as resume parsing, candidate tracking, and interview scheduling. We
anticipate that the new ATS will improve our time-to-hire and reduce our recruitment costs.
5. The IT department is in the process of migrating our data to a new cloud-based storage solution
to improve data security and accessibility. The new solution will be integrated with our existing
SSO system and will include features such as encryption, data backup, and disaster recovery.
We will also need to develop a data governance policy to ensure compliance with regulatory
requirements.
6. The R&D team is currently developing a new product that will utilize technologies such as
AR, VR, and blockchain. The product will target the B2B market and will include features
such as supply chain tracking, asset management, and smart contracts. We anticipate that the
new product will generate significant revenue and position us as a leader in the industry.
7. The legal department is reviewing the SLAs and NDAs for our new international partnerships
to ensure that our contractual obligations are clearly defined and can be met. We are also
working with external counsel to review the relevant laws and regulations in the partner
countries and to ensure compliance with local laws. We anticipate that these measures will
reduce our legal risk and protect our interests.
8. The sales team is currently implementing a new lead scoring model to better prioritize leads
and improve conversion rates. The lead scoring model will utilize technologies such as machine
learning and predictive analytics and will be integrated with our existing CRM system. We
anticipate that the new model will increase our sales productivity and revenue.
