PATNUBAY NG MAG-AARAL SA PAGGAMIT NG MODYUL
Ang mga Modyul na iyong natanggap ay nilikha upang makatulong sa iyo at iba pang mag-aaral sa pagpapatuloy ng inyong pag-aaral sa tahanan. Bago
mo simulan ang pagtuklas ng mga bagong aralin sa iyong mga modyul, kailangang ihanda mo muna ang sarili. Siguruhing ikaw ay nakapagehersisyo na
at nakakain na sa tamang oras bago simulan ang iyong mga aralin (maaaring sa umaga matapos ang almusal o hapon matapos ang pananghalian).
Isaisantabi muna ang iba pang pinagkakaabalahan. Ihanda ang mga kagamitang pampaaralan tulad ng kwaderno, panulat, krayola at iba pa, at
siguruhing mabibigyan mo ng pokus ang pag-aaral gamit ang mga modyul na iyong natanggap.

1 Basahin, unawaing mabuti at sundin ang panutong nakasaad sa bawat pahina ng modyul.
PAANO Basahin at unawaing mabuti ang iyong aralin sa araw na ito na makikita sa unang pahina ng iyong modyul. Isulat sa
GAMITIN kwaderno ang mga mahahalagang impormasyon, terminolohiya, depinisyon at iba pang nararapat mong tandaan sa
iyong aralin sa araw na ito. Mahalagang magawa mo ito upang maalala ang mga kasanayang nalinang at
ANG MODYUL? 2 magkaroon ka ng sanggunian sa gagawin mong pagrepaso sa iyong mga aralin kung ikaw man ay may
nakalimutan.
Sikaping maisagawa ang lahat ng pagsasanay na makikita sa modyul. Ang mga ito ang makatutulong sa iyo upang
3 lubusang maunawaan ang iyong aralin at malinang ang mga kasanayan sa pagkatuto.
Kung hindi mo gaanong naunawaan ang iyong aralin at ikaw ay may mga katanungan tungkol sa iyong mga gawain

at pagsasanay, kumunsulta ka sa iyong magulang, kapatid o sino mang kasama sa tahanan na magsisilbing
4 tagapagdaloy ng aralin.
Para sa mga karagdagang kaalaman o katanungan na may kinalaman sa iyong aralin, sumangguni sa iyong guro at
5 tawagan siya sa numero na makikita sa iyong natanggap na Learning Package.

Huwag kalilimutan na isumite sa paaralan (sa pamamagitan ng iyong magulang o kapatid o sino mang
6 nakatatandang kamag-anak) tuwing Lunes ang mga natapos na Modyul noong nakaraang lingo.

Matapos ang pagsusuri at pagwawasto ng guro sa isinumite mong Modyul, pag-aralan mo ang kabuuang marka
o iskor na makukuha mo batay sa pagbabalitang gagawin sa iyo ng iyong guro. Ang iskor o markang ito ang iyong
7 magiging batayan kung kakailanganin mo pa ang higit na pagsasanay at pagsubaybay ng iyong guro at
tagapagdaloy ng aralin sa tahanan.

SA PAGGABAY SA MAG-AARAL SA PAGGAMIT NG MODYUL
Ang Patnubay na ito ay nilikha para po sa inyong mga magulang, nakatatandang kapatid o kamag-anak ng ating mga mag-aaral. Ito po ay upang
magabayan po ninyo, bilang tagapagdaloy ng aralin, ang mag-aaral sa kanyang paggamit ng Modyul. Sa Modyul po na inyong natanggap nakapaloob ang
mga araling pagaaralan ng mag-aaral sa inyong tahanan. Narito rin po ang mga pagsasanay para sa paglinang ng mga kasanayan sa pagkatuto ng mag-
aaral. Naniniwala po kami na napakalaki ng inyong magiging bahagi at impluwensiya sa magaganap na pagpapatuloy ng pagaaral ng inyong kapamilyang
mag-aaral sa inyo mismong tahanan.
Ihanda po muna ang sarili bago simulan ang paggabay sa mag-aaral. Isaisantabi po muna ang iba pang mga
1 gawain upang magkaroon ng pokus at sapat na panahon sa paggabay sa mag-aaral. Siguruhin din pong
PAANO PO KAYO handa na ang mag-aaral sa kanyang pag-aaral.
MAKATUTULONG Tulungan po ang mag-aaral sa pagbasa at pag-unawa ng kanyang aralin sa araw na ito na makikita sa unang
SA PAGGABAY pahina ng Modyul. Maaari pong dagdagan pa ninyo ito base sa inyong naging karanasan o pag-aaral.
SA MAG-AARAL 2 Gabayan ang mag-aaral sa pagsusulat sa kwaderno ng mahahalagang impormasyon, terminolohiya,
SA PAGGAMIT depinisyon at iba pang nararapat niyang tandaan sa kanyang aralin sa araw na ito.

5 noong nakaraang lingo.

Matapos ang pagsusuri at pagwawasto ng guro sa isinumite Modyul, kasama ang mag-aaral ay pag-
aralan po ninyo ang kabuuang marka o iskor na makukuha ng mag-aaral batay sa pagbabalitang gagawin
6 ng guro. Ang iskor o markang ito po ang inyong magiging batayan kung kakailanganin pa ng mag-aaral
ang higit na pagsasanay at pagsubaybay ninyo at ng ng kanyang guro.

INTRODUCTION

This module also will allow the students to realize the importance of engaging in
recreational activities and utilize their time productively. It was also designed to fulfill the
blended learning, outputs or performances will be sent through online classroom or any
platform of virtual communication or computer- generated technology. It will allow you to
discover your interests from the information, awareness and trivia provided in this module
while making your family stay connected in your home.
OBJECTIVES

1. Determine and choose an aquatics recreation activity.


2. Develop interest of physical activities through aquatics activities.
3. Choose equipment and places for the activity.
4. Recognize the responsibilities in helping and maintaining the environment.

Lesson 1: Introduction to Aquatics Activities

Aquatics Activities
The term “Aquatic Activities” covers all these plus swimming and can be defined as
motor activities performed in water for purposes that may be utilitarian, competitive,
educational, therapeutic, or recreational. Aquatic recreational activities comprises all
sports and activities played in or on water.
Recreational water activities can have substantial benefits to health and well-being.
Swimming pools, beaches, lakes, rivers, and spas provide environments for rest and
relaxation, physical activity, exercise, pleasure and fun. Yet they also present risks to
health. Polluted and unsafe recreational waters can lead to infections, exposure to
chemicals, injuries, and death.
BUOYANCY
• It is the upward force of the water on an object.
• This is the reason why boats and people float on the water.
• It is also gives a weightless feeling, which makes it easier to move, lift knees or even
jog in water.
HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE
• The pressure exerted by the water at equilibrium due to the force of gravity.
• It is the weight of the water pressed down on the object
• Hydrostatic pressure is exerted on the body from all sides and this pressure,
combined with buoyancy, helps keep standing in water.
ENHANCE COOLING
• Transfer heat away from the body much quickly than air given in the same
temperature.
• This is the reason we stay longer in the water and can tolerate longer workouts
without feeling being overheated.

Health Benefits of Water Sports


Decrease Risk for Chronic Disease, Water sports are a great form of exercise because it
works almost every part of your body, helping you burn calories the natural way. It
increases your metabolism and thus your fluid intake and appetite, which in turn helps
you avoid binge eating. It helps you stay healthy and energized that improves immunity
against chronic diseases.

Decreases Risk for Diabetes and Chronic Heart Disease, People with diabetes and
chronic heart disease will need a lot of lifestyle changes to keep their overall health in
check. Water sports or even just simply floating on water and doing some light exercises
will help lower stress levels and keep you relaxed, which is good for the heart and the body
in general.
Beneficial for People with Arthritis, The fluidity of water is gentle and naturally soothing
to achy joints. Water activities like snorkeling and swimming will facilitate the use of the
affected joints without exacerbating the symptoms. Hydrotherapy is a preferred treatment
for people suffering from rheumatoid arthritis.
Improves Bone Density, Working out muscles on a treadmill may not be the best option
for older people and post-menopausal women. Water sports like canoeing, water bikes,
paddling and the like are a much preferred form of exercise that helps increase bone
density.
Enhances Mental Health, Like any other sports or form of exercise, water sports are good
for the body. Additionally, it is also good for the mind. The tranquil quality of water reduces
stress, anxiety, and depression. Swimming for instance has been proven to improve the
mood in both men and women. Water sports are a great form of exercise because these
benefit both the body and mind.

Snorkeling is a popular recreational activity, wherein it is the practice of swimming


on or through a body of water while equipped with a diving mask, a shaped tube
called a snorkel, and usually fins.

cooler waters, a wetsuit may also be worn. Use of this equipment allows the
snorkeler to observe underwater attractions for extended periods with relatively little
effort and to breathe while face-down at the surface.
The primary appeal is the opportunity to observe underwater life in a natural setting
without the complicated equipment and training required for scuba diving. It
appeals to all ages because of how little effort there is, and without the exhaled
bubbles of scuba-diving equipment. It is the basis of the two surface disciplines of
the underwater sport of fins swimming.
Basically, when you and your family or friend go for a swimming on the beach,
usually the resort offers a snorkeling activity. The beaches in the Philippines are
great so make sure you include snorkeling in your outing. You will be surprise with

Snorkel and Mask, proper fitting mask is probably your most important piece of gear. It
is a key in determining how much you will enjoy your snorkeling experience.
Snorkeling Fins, the shape and design of fins have also had some changes in the last
few decades, no longer are there only gigantically long flippers, seen for instance in older
black and white movies.
Snorkeling Vests, it is not a life jacket, but is an easy to blow up flotation device that
allows more buoyancy in the water while snorkeling. This works well so people will not
have to continually tread water while snorkeling.
Mesh Bag, when purchasing a snorkel set with fins, mask, and snorkel a bag usually
comes with the set. The bag will be a big help when trying to carry all your gear, and they
are wonderful for rinsing off the equipment hanging it up and letting it dry through the
mesh.
Underwater Accessories, there are some fun accessories to purchase to use while
snorkeling. A camera is a great one. Taking a picture of your snorkeling buddy underwater
and capturing an awesome looking fish to share with your friends makes the dive even
more memorable. There are underwater disposable cameras available although and some
phones and regular cameras can be snapped into a waterproof case and will provide much
better photos.
