Учні ланцюжком зачитують заголовки, які вони обрали до кожного з фрагментів
тексту, та відповідають на запитання: «Is it possible to attract the job of your dream?
How can we do that?» Учитель виправляє помилки у разі їх наявності.

Warming up 4. Уведення в іншомовну атмосферу.

Гра «What Is Good for You?».
Учитель роздає картки для роботи в групах (НО1). На кожній з них зазначена сфе-
ра професійних інтересів. Учні підходять до своїх однокласників і ставлять їм за-
питання про інтерес, який бачать на своїй картці, наприклад: Do you like working
with animals/working with numbers/communicating with people?, намагаючись
з’ясувати, яка професія кому підійде.
По закінченні роботи кожен з учнів повідомляє про результати своїх пошуків, на-
приклад:
Olena enjoys working with animals. She thinks the profession of a vet will be good for
her.
Або, у випадку, коли не знайшлося відповідної людини: None of my classmates enjoys
working with numbers.
Учитель стежить за правильністю вимови слів.

 CHOOSING A CAREER
Deciding which career direction you want to pursue is the first step in planning your
future. While this may not be easy while you’re still at school, it helps if you determine
a general area that interests you. Try these steps. Find out what’s out there.
Before choosing a career, you need to know what’s out there. To find out about career
options:
Speak to friends and family about choices they made and how they made them.
Surf the Internet. Start with the list of great job sites.
Scan the employment section in the newspaper to see what jobs are out there.
Identify your likes, dislikes, strengths and limitations. Do you like technology, the
outdoors, working with people? Are you artistic?
Make a shortlist.
Select a few professions that match your interests and strengths and find out about
these professions. Talk to people in the industry. Then explore what further education
or training is needed.
Get some experience.
Next, arrange to do work experience or arrange to visit workplaces of interest to get
some firsthand knowledge.
And you don’t have to restrict work experience to the subject in your school
curriculum. Take advantage of school holidays to get out there and learn more about
the industries and careers you may be interested in.
Once you have some idea what career(s) interest you, you need to choose the right
school subjects to pay most atention to in order to ensure you’re heading in the right
direction.

3) Етап перевірки розуміння змісту тексту.

Учні ланцюжком читають утворені за завданням на картках речення та відпові-
дають на запитання. Учитель контролює правильність відповідей.

Discussing
Обговорення у групах.
Учитель поділяє клас на групи по четверо-п’ятеро. Учні читають текст вправи та
проводять групові обговорення за запитаннями після нього. Учитель стежить за пра-
вильністю виконання завдання.

Project Work 3. Робота над проектом. Впр. 8 (с. 64).

Учні в групах по четверо-п’ятеро, використовуючи подані у вправі підказки, готу-
ють презентації за темою «Закінчення школи: вступ до університету або річна пе-
рерва?», після чого представники груп презентують свої проекти класу. Учитель
разом з класом обирає найкращу презентацію.

Writing 4. Розвиток навичок писемного мовлення.

1) Етап підготовки до написання резюме.
а) Впр. 1 (с. 66).
Учні в парах порівнюють структуру резюме з планом листа-заяви на навчання,
знаходячи спільні й відмінні риси.
б) Впр. 2 (с. 66).
Учні самостійно переглядають текст і занотовують основну інформацію за пла-
ном.
в) Впр. 3 (с. 66).
Учні самостійно читають текст оголошення про роботу й розташовують частини
резюме у правильній послідовності.
г) Впр. 4 (с. 68).
Учні читають текст резюме і в парах обговорюють запитання вправи.
д) Впр. 5 (с. 69).
Учні проглядають текст і в групах по троє-четверо знов обговорюють запитання
впр. 4 з урахуванням отриманої інформації.
2) Написання резюме.
а) Впр. 6 (с. 70).
Учні складають уявні резюме, показують їх сусідові і в парах обговорюють недо-
ліки та переваги своїх резюме.
б) Впр. 7 (с. 70).
Учні самостійно читають оголошення і в зошитах складають лист роботодавцю.
Наприкінці уроку вчитель збирає зошити на перевірку.
